I provide individualized massage, unique and specific to you. My approach varies and will depend on your goals for treatment.

For specific musculoskeletal pain:

Sessions involve assessment, identification of the most likely culprits of your pain, and a focused concentration on individual muscles and areas of fascia. This is the most effective and efficient treatment method for specific soft tissue or neuromuscular pain.

For general relaxation and restoration:

Sessions involve more generalized work over larger areas, in line with typical Swedish and deep tissue massage styles. This is a great option if you don’t have specific pain but want to connect and nurture your body through therapeutic touch.

As an occupational therapist, I center treatments around occupations, or activities that are meaningful and important to my clients. These activities can range from getting out of bed, dressing, and brushing your teeth to gardening, playing an instrument, or running marathons. If it matters to you, it matters to me.

When pain, injury, or disability limit your ability to do or enjoy what matters to you, we can stay curious and creative, and come up with interventions and strategies to address your body, the environment, and/or the occupation itself.

This is where it all comes together in one, holistic approach!

With a focus on how pain limits your ability to do what matters to you or your ability to enjoy it, our treatment sessions will often look like massage with an occupational therapy twist.

We’ll work on and off the massage table, so sessions will be in clothes that allow you to be comfortable and mobile.

As we continue to work together, we can also explore how your environments and activities might play a role in your pain. Sometimes simple modifications or adaptive strategies can make a huge difference!
